About short notice cancellations

A short notice cancellation is generally when a participant cancels with less notice than required, or doesn’t show up. For eligible supports, providers may be able to claim up to 100% of the agreed price — but only if the service agreement allows it and the claiming rules for that support item are met. Providers can’t charge when they cancel themselves.

This checker uses commonly applied notice periods (7 days for many disability support worker supports; 2 clear business days for many other supports). Rules can change, so always confirm with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and your service agreement. Read more in our guide: Can providers charge you for cancelled NDIS appointments?
