NDIS Price Increase December 2026: New Cleaning, Gardening & Support Rates
The NDIS has announced new pricing changes effective 1 December 2026, affecting cleaning, gardening, domestic assistance and specialised support for children.
These changes follow the Fair Work Commission’s decision to increase wages under the SCHADS Award.
New NDIS Hourly Rates from 1 December 2026

| House or Yard Maintenance | $59.01 | $63.42 |
| House Cleaning & Household Activities | $60.10 | $64.59 |
| Personal Domestic Activities | $61.16 | $65.73 |
| Specialised Home-Based Assistance for a Child | $61.16 | $65.73 |
These are national maximum hourly rates, subject to applicable NDIS pricing rules.
What Does This Mean for NDIS Participants?
- New rates apply to eligible services delivered from 1 December 2026.
- Existing support item numbers remain unchanged.
- Providers must discuss and obtain agreement before changing existing service agreements.
- Higher maximum prices do not automatically increase participants’ NDIS funding.
- Participants should review their remaining budgets and support arrangements.
